Another bus line arrives at Aeroparque: what it is and how the new route is
A new extension to bus line 114 has been approved to enhance public transportation access to Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires.
The national Secretariat of Transportation has announced the extension of bus line 114, enhancing public transport connectivity to Aeroparque Jorge Newbery. This initiative aims to improve accessibility for local residents and was confirmed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Mobility for Buenos Aires City, Pablo Bereciartua, through a social media announcement. The change reflects a growing need for efficient public transport options for those traveling to and from the airport.
The revised 114 route, now covering the C branch, addresses the previous limitations in public transport connections to Aeroparque. The extension adds to an existing network that includes buses 8, 33, 34, 37, 45, 160, and 166 that serve the terminal area, specifically enhancing transport from Villa Devoto and the Olympic neighborhood. This is a significant boost to public transport infrastructure in the city, intended to streamline access for thousands of residents needing to reach the airport.
Starting from noon on February 20, 2026, the modified line 114 officially began operations, creating a direct link for commuters. The restructuring not only improves accessibility but also reorganizes traffic flow in the area, presenting a thoughtful approach to urban transport management in Buenos Aires. This measure highlights the cityβs ongoing commitment to enhance urban mobility and public service efficiency.
