Mairis Briedis, a former world boxing champion, has openly criticized the recent 'KOK Fights' boxing event held in Riga, where the main fight featured two 'journeyman' fighters, Kristaps Zuti and Juris Zundovski. He expressed his disapproval on social media, highlighting that these types of matches only serve to embarrass the boxing community in Latvia. Briedis pointed out that such fights, which typically involve fighters who are brought in to be easily defeated, should not headline a significant event.
