Did you buy this jacket? Return it immediately
A safety recall has been issued for a jacket from the Swedish brand RevolutionRace due to a potentially dangerous design flaw.
A serious safety hazard has been identified with a jacket sold by the Swedish brand RevolutionRace, prompting the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) to issue a recall. The design includes a long cord at the bottom hem of the jacket that can become entangled with vehicles or doors, posing a significant risk of injury, particularly to children. In response to this urgent safety concern, Tukes is advising consumers to cease wearing the jacket immediately and contact the retailer where it was purchased.
Tukes has detailed that the jackets were sold under product numbers 10881, 10760, 14165, and 11113, and they have urged all customers who have bought these particular models to return them to the point of sale. Additionally, for customers who are familiar with altering clothing, the agency has stated that the cord can be removed personally; detailed instructions on how to safely remove the cord have been provided with the recall notice.
As consumer safety continues to be a priority, this recall highlights the importance of vigilance in product design and the need for regulatory bodies like Tukes to act swiftly when a potential hazard is identified. Such measures not only prevent potential injuries but also promote trust from consumers regarding product safety standards in the market.
