In Naples, a 35-year-old woman was detained under accusations of domestic violence and aggravated injury after stabbing her husband. The incident occurred while the couple was watching a televised football match between Atalanta and Napoli. The woman misinterpreted her husband’s shouts of frustration, stemming from a VAR decision that annulled a penalty for his team, as personal insults directed at her.

The altercation intensified when the woman, believing her husband was insulting her, threatened him before resorting to violence by throwing scissors and then kitchen knives at him. One of the knives struck her husband in the side, causing significant bleeding. Despite his injuries, he managed to alert emergency services for help while his wife continued to hurl sharp objects at him, escalating the confrontation further.
