Police Reveal Conspiracy to Defame the Country Related to AI Summit Protest; Links to Several States!
Delhi police allege that the recent protest by the Indian Youth Congress during the AI summit was part of a planned conspiracy to defame the country, with connections across multiple states.
The Delhi Police's Special Cell has made a significant revelation regarding the protest by the Indian Youth Congress during the AI Impact Summit held at Bharat Mandapam. They claim that the protest was part of a premeditated conspiracy aimed at defaming the nation and that its roots extend across various states. This has prompted the Crime Branch's Inter-State Cell to undertake further investigation into the matter. So far, a total of eight individuals have been arrested, including the president of the Youth Congress, Uday Bhanu Chib, who has been remanded into police custody for four days.
On February 20, during the international AI Impact Summit in Delhi, an organized attempt was made to breach security, causing chaos among guests and organizers. The Delhi Police has registered an FIR at Tilak Marg Police Station under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, originally drawing from sections 61(2), 121(1), and 132, among others. However, subsequent investigations led to the addition of sections 191(1) and 192 as well, indicating the seriousness of the situation. Special CP of the Crime Branch, Devesh Chandra Srivastava, is addressing the growing concerns surrounding this incident.
The implications of this revelation could be significant, particularly in the context of political tensions in India. Protests by political youth organizations often take center stage in the media, and if the police claims prove valid, it may raise questions about the motivations behind such movements. The involvement of the Crime Branch underscores the severity of the alleged conspiracy, which could evoke further political ramifications and scrutiny over freedom of expression during protests, particularly in politically charged environments such as India's current landscape.
