Although they did not meet their goal of entering the top 10, their medal count was an improvement compared to the last Olympics in Beijing, where they won only two golds, five silvers, and two bronzes.
Among the notable performances, Korean athletes excelled in short track and snowboarding events, with Kim Gilli claiming gold in both the women's 1500m and the women's 3000m relay, while Choi Ga-on also won gold in the women's halfpipe event. Notably, Kim Sang-gyeom achieved a silver medal in the men's parallel giant slalom in his fourth Olympic appearance, marking Korea's first medal of the competition. Young athletes like Lim Jong-eon and Yoo Seung-eun also made headlines by securing multiple medals and contributing to the team's overall success.
The MVP title was awarded to Kim Gilli, who played a pivotal role in South Korea's achievements at the games, securing two gold medals.
