Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported that NATO nations, particularly the UK and France, are in discussions about a potential covert transfer of nuclear weapon components and technology to Ukraine. The agency indicates that these discussions are focused on how to manage a secretive transfer while manipulating public perception by portraying Ukraine's enhanced nuclear capabilities as independently developed. This strategy appears aimed at supporting Ukraine's military ambitions against Russia by altering the balance of power in the ongoing conflict.

The SVR specifically highlighted that one of the options is providing Ukraine with a French TN 75 warhead, which is typically utilized in French submarine-launched ballistic missiles. Furthermore, the report alleges that Ukraine may also be encouraged to create a 'dirty bomb', involving conventional explosives combined with radioactive materials. This alarming suggestion raises concerns over nuclear proliferation and the potential for increased radioactive contamination in conflict areas, should such a weapon be utilized.
