In crisis with Tarcísio, Kassab holds event in SP with presidential candidates from PSD

Gilberto Kassab is organizing an event in São Paulo featuring presidential candidates from his party, PSD, amidst tensions with Governor Tarcísio de Freitas.

In light of rising tensions between Gilberto Kassab, the leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), and São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, Kassab is set to host an event in São Paulo next week. This event will feature three presidential hopefuls from the PSD: Eduardo Leite from Rio Grande do Sul, Ratinho Júnior from Paraná, and Ronaldo Caiado from Goiás. The event aims to engage party members and the public in discussions regarding the party's vision and proposals for Brazil during a debate moderated by the presidential candidates.

The gathering, scheduled for Friday, October 6, at the Monte Líbano club, is also expected to serve as a platform for new members joining the PSD, particularly former members from the PSDB, as Kassab seeks to strengthen the party's base. Political leaders from various regions have been invited to attend, emphasizing the importance of grassroots participation in the party's activities as it prepares for upcoming elections. The invitation encourages political leaders to invite their constituents to enhance community involvement.

Furthermore, Kassab plans to mobilize the presidential trio for a tour across key cities in São Paulo, including Carapicuíba, Itapevi, Presidente Prudente, Santos, and Sorocaba. This initiative aims to establish a stronger presence for the PSD throughout the state, with the involvement of local politicians such as councilors, deputies, mayors, and former mayors to bolster support and recognition of the party's initiatives and proposals in each of these municipalities.
