Martin Dubéci from PS / We are not like Smer to let Šimečka's case go stale. Matovič fell into Fico's game, which will not affect Šimečka

Martin Dubéci defends the political party PS against accusations related to a scandal involving badly invoiced subsidies linked to Marta Šimečková, while criticizing rival politicians Igor Matovič and Robert Fico.

In a recent interview, Martin Dubéci of the political party PS addressed the controversy surrounding a scandal involving mismanaged subsidies by an organization connected to Marta Šimečková, mother of the party leader. He defended the actions of PS in this matter, asserting that they did everything possible in response to the situation while maintaining that they do not operate like Smer, which he accuses of covering up such issues. Dubéci also took the opportunity to criticize other political figures, particularly Igor Matovič of the Olano party, suggesting that Matovič is playing into the hands of Robert Fico, which Dubéci believes undermines the interests of the nation.

Additionally, Dubéci commented on the recent decline in support for PS, stating that they do not plan to replace Michal Šimečka despite the dip in popularity. He further criticized the opposition parties, namely SaS and Olano, highlighting that their political maneuvers serve Fico’s agenda rather than the interests of the Slovak people. By calling out Matovič and Fico, Dubéci aims to show that PS is committed to addressing issues transparently while holding other parties accountable for their political games.

He also touched on the historical context of Beneš decrees, suggesting that their discussion isn’t harmful to PS and could be beneficial in clarifying alliances. Dubéci emphasized that the Slovak electorate might not fully appreciate the gravity of the coalition's actions against Hungarian communities, indicating a disconnect between political discourse and public sentiment within Slovakia, particularly towards Hungary.
