18-year-old man dies after gunfight in Bahia; man was injured and teenager was apprehended

The confrontation occurred around 4:40 PM near Rua Tomé Oliveira Lima, close to the Conjunto Renascer. Initial investigations by the Civil Police report that the shooting began when a 16-year-old teenager, accompanied by a 24-year-old man, approached Isaaque, who then opened fire on them.

The ensuing gunfire resulted in Isaaque being struck and ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old man was also injured and required medical attention; he was taken to the Hospital Geral Clériston Andrade, where he remains hospitalized under police custody. The incident highlights ongoing issues with gun violence in the region and raises questions about the involvement of youth in such violent incidents.

Following the altercation, the 16-year-old suspect attempted to flee the scene but was pursued and apprehended by the Military Police of Bahia on the BR-116 highway.
