In Barra do Piraí, specifically in the district of Vargem Alegre, residents will experience a temporary interruption in water supply beginning Tuesday, October 24. This disruption is due to scheduled maintenance by the Companhia Estadual de Águas e Esgotos do Rio de Janeiro (Cedae) on the Water Treatment Station (ETA), which will take place from 8 AM to 5 PM.

The Cedae has informed that the water supply will be restored gradually and may take up to 72 hours for full normalization. Homes equipped with water tanks or cisterns are likely to face less impact, but residents are still encouraged to store water and limit water-intensive activities until the supply is restored.
