This is what entrepreneurs think about Trump

Finnish entrepreneurs express concerns about the impacts of U.S. President Donald Trump's policies on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Finland, according to a recent survey by the Federation of Finnish Enterprises.

A survey conducted by the Federation of Finnish Enterprises has revealed significant concerns among Finnish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) regarding the policies of U.S. President Donald Trump. The findings indicate that half of the surveyed SMEs believe Trump's actions influence their business operations, with varying degrees of perceived effects: 4% report substantial impacts, 20% some impact, and 26% minimal impact. Notably, 45% of businesses feel there are no effects at all, reflecting a mixed sentiment amongst Finnish SMEs about external influences on their operations.

The report emphasizes that the repercussions of Trump's policies are particularly pronounced within the industrial sector and among companies with at least five employees. The majority view these effects as negative, with 38% of SMEs noting detrimental impacts stemming from Trump's actions, while only a meager 2% view the impacts positively. This perception underscores the interconnectedness of global economies and the ways in which decisions made by a foreign leader can have far-reaching consequences on local businesses.

Mikael Pentikäinen, the CEO of the Federation of Finnish Enterprises, highlighted the global nature of the current economic landscape, suggesting that leaders in powerful nations can exert a significant and often negative influence on businesses located far from their borders. This underscores the importance for Finnish entrepreneurs to stay attuned not just to domestic market conditions, but also to international political developments that could affect their business realities.
