Lawyer Fábio Tofic Simantob is set to launch his book on corporate corruption in São Paulo.

Fábio Tofic Simantob, a lawyer, will launch his new book titled "Corrupção – A fronteira entre o saber e o não saber na estrutura da empresa" (Corruption - The Boundary Between Knowledge and Ignorance in the Structure of the Company) this Thursday, October 26. The launch event will take place at 7 PM at Livraria da Vila in São Paulo's JK Iguatemi shopping mall. The book is based on his master's dissertation and showcases Tofic's insights and experiences regarding corruption issues faced within corporate environments.

The book features a presentation by fellow lawyer Alberto Zacharias Toron and includes a preface written by Renato de Mello Jorge Silveira, a professor at the University of São Paulo's Law School. It is published by Thomson Reuters Brasil – Revista dos Tribunais. In the book, Tofic discusses critical parameters for criminal accountability in corporate contexts, addressing the complexities surrounding knowledge-based intent when it comes to attributing corrupt acts to partners and employees.

Additionally, Tofic examines recent legal rulings in Brazil and abroad, including landmark cases such as the Lava Jato Operation. His analysis aims to provide a deeper understanding of corporate corruption and the legal frameworks necessary for addressing these challenges, offering readers valuable insights into the implications of corruption within the business sector in Brazil, which remains a pressing issue.
