Rush will do five shows in Brazil on their tour with the new drummer next year

Canadian rock band Rush will return to Brazil in January 2027 for the first time in 16 years, with a tour celebrating their legacy over the past fifty years.

Rush, the iconic Canadian rock band, is set to make a highly anticipated return to Brazil in January 2027, marking their first performance in the country in 16 years. This tour, named "Fifty Something," will include five shows across major Brazilian cities such as Curitiba, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, and Brasília, subsequently highlighting their significant influence on the progressive rock genre. The excitement for these concerts is heightened as they come several years after the death of long-time drummer Neil Peart in January 2020, and they will feature a new drummer, preparing fans for a fresh experience.

The pre-sale for tickets is scheduled to open on Wednesday, November 25, for Itaú customers, with general sales beginning on Friday, November 27, at 11 am through the Eventim website. The Brazilian tour is being organized by the production company 30e, which is likely to handle the logistics and promotion for this highly sought-after series of concerts. The return of Rush to the stage is not just a celebration of their music but also a chance for fans to reconnect with the band after several years of hiatus, especially since their last live performance was in August 2015.

As the band embarks on this tour, beginning on June 7, 2026, in Los Angeles, fans worldwide will be eagerly awaiting their performances across North America before they make their way to South America. This itinerary not only signifies an opportunity for the band to celebrate their legacy, but it also serves as a testament to their enduring popularity as they continue to gather new fans while retaining their longtime supporters. With the upcoming tour, Rush aims to honor their past while adapting to changes in the band’s lineup and maintaining engagement with their fanbase across the globe.
