Kozani: 26-year-old arrested for robbing a 20-year-old

A 26-year-old man was arrested in Kozani, Greece, for robbing a 20-year-old woman of cash, shoes, and a mobile phone.

In Kozani, Greece, local police arrested a 26-year-old man accused of robbing a 20-year-old woman. The incident occurred as the young woman was about to enter her vehicle when the suspect, with his face covered, approached and stole 30 euros from her wallet, alongside a pair of shoes worth 80 euros and a mobile phone valued at 200 euros. After the robbery, he fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Following an investigation by the Kozani Crime Prevention and Detection Department, the suspect was located and apprehended on Saturday night. Upon his arrest, police recovered 10 euros in cash, which was seized and later returned to the victim. Additionally, the stolen mobile phone was found near the location of the incident, confiscated, and also returned to the young woman.

The police are conducting a preliminary investigation into the case, with the arrested individual facing serious criminal charges. He has been brought before the Kozani Public Prosecutor, highlighting the swift actions taken by local law enforcement in addressing the crime and supporting the victim in this unfortunate event.
