On Monday morning, Slovak police began investigating threats made against schools in Bratislava that were discovered on the messaging platform Telegram. The messages, reported by JOJ television, were written in Cyrillic script and included images of weapons, sparking significant concern among the authorities and the public. Notably, one of the threats contained the phrase "Bratislava farewell" and mentioned a list of schools along with claims of 40 perpetrators planning the assaults.

The Interior Minister, Matúš Šutaj Eštok, publicly condemned the threats, categorizing them as an unacceptable attack on children and their families. He assured the public that security forces are taking all necessary measures to protect children, and emphasized that those responsible for the threats will face full accountability. The police have already registered the threatening information and agreed upon safety protocols to ensure the security of the schools in the region.
