A foreign crew member tragically died in an accident while working on a fishing boat off the coast of Udo, Jeju after being struck by an anchor rope.
A tragic incident occurred off the coast of Udo, Jeju, where a foreign crew member in his thirties died after sustaining a head injury from an anchor rope while fishing. According to the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters and the Jeju Maritime Police, the accident was reported at 11:34 PM on the previous day when a call was made about a crew member being unconscious after colliding with the equipment on a fishing vessel registered in Jeju. The vessel, which was carrying the Indonesian national, responded to the emergency services and docked at Seongsan Port, where the crew member was transferred to a hospital after receiving first aid.
