The High Court instructed the Attorney General of the Ministry of Justice to transfer the handling of the case to a party in the Prosecutor's Office
Israel's High Court mandated that the Attorney General inform which department in the Prosecutor's Office will take over the case involving former military prosecutor Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi within a week.
The High Court of Israel has issued a directive requiring the Attorney General of the Ministry of Justice, Yael Kutik, to identify the appropriate party within the Prosecutor's Office to whom the investigation of former chief military prosecutor Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi can be transferred. The decision comes from Justice Dafna Barak-Erez, who noted that the transfer is necessary to advance a resolution on the matter. This ruling was prompted by a petition seeking clarity on why the case should not be transferred to Legal Advisor Gali Behar-Miara, especially following the police's report that the investigation did not find evidence of her involvement in the case.
