Mobile CT scans provide free exams in Porciúncula from February 23 to 28
The municipality of Porciúncula in Brazil is offering free mobile CT scans to residents from February 23-28 to enhance healthcare access.
The Porciúncula City Hall, situated in the Northwest of Fluminense, is hosting a mobile CT unit from February 23-28, providing free imaging exams to its residents. The examination services will be available daily from Monday to Saturday, between 9 AM and 5 PM, in Praça Antônio Amado, adjacent to the Cultural Center. The initiative is spearheaded by the Municipal Health Department to strengthen local healthcare infrastructure and improve accessibility to essential imaging tests for the community.
The local government emphasizes that the mobile tomography unit aims to facilitate quicker diagnoses by allowing residents to access these services without the need to travel to other municipalities for imaging tests. This approach not only eases the burden on patients who might otherwise have to commute but also aims to improve the overall health outcomes in the area by providing timely medical assessments.
Residents wishing to undergo a CT scan must meet specific criteria, which include being 14 years or older, weighing no more than 150 kg, and presenting necessary documentation such as a copy of their ID, SUS card, and proof of residence. The Health Department advises that all required documents be brought along to ensure a smooth and efficient testing process during the event.
