Since last year, inspection teams have been visiting açaí sales points in Belém to ensure compliance with sanitary regulations for the sale of the product. Following these inspections, a total of 132 locations were certified as suitable for selling açaí, meeting the necessary standards. These establishments are distributed across various neighborhoods in the city, including Jurunas, Guamá, Cremação, Marco, Pedreira, and Umarizal.

The municipality of Belém has stated that the list of certified points is continuously updated, and the licenses granted are valid until March 31, 2026. After this date, a new list of establishments permitted to sell açaí will be released throughout the year. The issuance of these licenses follows a thorough inspection process that confirms adherence to health regulations relevant to the açaí trade.

Health officials are also providing guidance to açaí vendors on the renewal of their licenses, ensuring that all points maintain compliance with the health standards required for food sales.
