In Baturité, Ceará, a man known as 'Chicão' fell from a lofty ladder and sustained a fracture in his leg after the ladder was struck by a vehicle that dragged along downed electrical wiring. This unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday, the 19th, while Chicão was working as an electrician at a local business. Eyewitness accounts report that he fell approximately from the height of the ladder after the vehicle lost control of the wiring that was dangerously lying across the street.

Following the accident, Chicão was swiftly taken to the local Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) for immediate medical attention. However, due to the severity of his injuries, specifically fractures in his ankle on two separate sites, he was later transferred to the Dr. José Frota Institute Hospital (IJF) located in Fortaleza. Here, he is currently awaiting surgical intervention to address his injuries caused by this unfortunate workplace accident.
