Rehemaa: Estonian Cross-Country Skiing is Alive
Estonian cross-country skiers performed admirably at the Milano Cortina Olympics, with several athletes finishing in the top 30.
At the Milano Cortina Olympics, Estonian cross-country skiers showcased their talents with remarkable performances. Keidy Kaasik achieved a commendable 13th place in the women's ski marathon, with her sister Kaidy finishing closely behind in 20th place, and Teesi Tuul crossing the line in 30th place. The final day of competition turned out to be the best for the Estonian team, highlighting their skills and determination.
In the days leading up to this success, the Estonian men's team also showed promising results, as Alvar Johannes Alev secured 15th place and Martin Himma finished in 29th place. The strong finishes of both male and female athletes indicated a strong showing for Estonia at the Games. Aivar Rehemaa, head coach of the Estonian ski team, expressed pride in the athletes' performances, emphasizing that there was no justification for labeling the Olympics as a failure for Estonia.
