Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has emphasized the importance of integrity among the newly elected local government leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a recent congress. This congress, part of a series of local government elections across the state, resulted in the formation of 27 executives in each of Sokoto's 23 local government areas, aimed at bolstering the party's grassroots influence. Governor Aliyu made his remarks during a visit to Bodinga Local Government Area, where he monitored the process and expressed satisfaction with the conduct and unity demonstrated by the party delegates.

In his address, Aliyu urged the new local government executives to intensify their grassroots mobilization efforts in preparation for the upcoming 2027 general elections. He praised the organization of the congresses, which were conducted by consensus, reflecting a spirit of cooperation among party members.
