Presented an Affordable Two-Seater Electric Camper: Here Are the Comforts You Will Find in It
Kia has introduced a new kit that converts its 2026 model PV5 into an electric camper, priced competitively for the South Korean and future European markets.
The newly presented kit by Kia allows owners of the 2026 Kia PV5 model to easily convert their vehicle into an electric camper. Available at the Kia Shop for around 20,000 dollars in South Korea, this innovative solution is expected to expand into the European market soon. Developed in collaboration with VanLab, this camper conversion offers practical comfort for outdoor enthusiasts looking for affordable mobility solutions.
The PV5 camper conversion includes a special trunk module that can be assembled in just a few minutes, allowing the second-row seats to remain in their original position. This assembly requires the buyer to follow instructions to put together the components. Among the features are two benches that unfold into a double bed, a small folding table with adjustable height, and retractable drawers built into the benches. The setup also includes a miniature kitchen equipped with a compact induction stove and refrigerator that can be connected while using the vehicle's trunk.
This development comes at a time when there are tight sanctions affecting vehicle shipments, particularly to Russia, yet it seems these challenges have not hindered the access of thousands of cars into that market by various means. Kia's introduction of an electric camper is not only innovative but also pertinent given the current automotive trends towards electric vehicles and the growing demand for outdoor and camping-related products, marking a significant shift in consumer preferences. As they navigate the evolving regulatory landscape, Kia's camper rollout could play a pivotal role in enhancing their brand's appeal and market share in the competitive automotive landscape.
