Ukraine has launched a series of drone strikes targeting the Russian border region of Belgorod, as reported by Moscow's Defense Ministry. The strikes resulted in injuries to several civilians, including a three-year-old girl, highlighting the ongoing tensions between the two countries. Russian officials reported that their air defenses intercepted and destroyed a total of 86 Ukrainian drones across various regions of Russia, with the majority being intercepted in Belgorod.

The Belgorod Governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, detailed that one of the drone strikes hit a vehicle near the hamlet of Krasivo, causing injuries to the occupants. The injured were treated for mine-blast trauma and shrapnel wounds, indicating the severe impacts of the attacks. Additionally, several other strikes resulted in injuries to three more individuals, and damages included residential apartments and commercial properties, disrupting life in the border area significantly.

This incident marks another escalation in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which has seen recent increases in cross-border skirmishes.
