Karina Ruiz and Alexandro Tello Found Dead, Missing in Puebla; Suspected Attackers Were Following Them

Karina Ruiz and Alexandro Tello, a couple from Instituto Oriente, were found dead in Chignahuapan after going missing.

Karina Ruiz and Alexandro Tello, both parents associated with Instituto Oriente, were reported missing since last Thursday and were later discovered dead in the municipality of Chignahuapan, Puebla. The Puebla State Attorney General's Office confirmed the recovery of their bodies and disclosed that extensive investigative measures had been undertaken, including interviews and video surveillance checks, to trace their last movements.

Authorities indicated that through 25 investigatory procedures, the victims’ vehicle, a white Jetta, was located on the Libramiento Instituto Politécnico, near the SAT office in the region of La Trinidad Tepehitec, Tlaxcala. These efforts revealed that their car had been tracked on the highway known as Pista Nueva to Tlaxcala, where it had parked in the city center, indicating potential premeditated criminal activity against them.

The investigation discovered that Ruiz and Tello were being followed by alleged assailants who were traveling in a white pickup truck bearing state plates. This alarming development raises concerns over safety and the effectiveness of law enforcement in addressing such cases of violence against civilians in Mexico, highlighting the growing issue of crime in the region and the need for improved security measures for residents.
