The Katsina State Government has successfully rescued 21 victims who were kidnapped, with the operation occurring in Dargaza Hills, within Danmusa Local Government Area. This operation was a coordinated effort involving the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Community Watch Corps. The state's Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Nasir Mua’zu, confirmed the successful mission through a statement to the press on Saturday.

Among the rescued victims, there were 16 women, two men, and three infants, who had been abducted from Gidan Sarkin Bayero Village in the Musawa Local Government Area and other locations. The rescue operation underscores the pervasive issue of banditry affecting various communities and highlights the state's commitment to safeguarding its citizens, irrespective of their religious backgrounds. According to the commissioner, 20 of the rescued individuals are Christians while two are Muslims, illustrating the indiscriminate nature of these criminal activities.

The four suspects arrested during the operation are currently undergoing investigations, indicating an ongoing effort by the state to combat kidnapping and related crimes.
