The traditional Bloco da Vida, a carnival parade in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro, is preparing to share the avenue with the prestigious samba school Unidos do Viradouro on Saturday, the 28th. The event will occur on Rua 14 in the Vila Santa Cecília neighborhood, starting at 8 PM. This collaboration marks a significant event in the local carnival calendar, showcasing the vibrant culture and community spirit of the region.

Bloco da Vida will kick off the festivities, featuring performances from around 600 members spread across 13 wings, along with three floats. This year's samba-enredo is titled 'Baile de Máscaras', promising a lively and colorful spectacle reminiscent of traditional carnival celebrations. The emphasis on community participation highlights the importance of local traditions and the creative expression they enable among the residents of Volta Redonda.

Following Bloco da Vida's performance, the Unidos do Viradouro, a samba school with a rich history and multiple championship titles, will take the stage. The school will pay tribute to the legendary Mestre Ciça, known for his mastery in achieving high scores during evaluations. This event not only celebrates carnival but strengthens the bonds within the community, bringing together various generations to appreciate and participate in this cultural highlight.
