Presidente Prudente is implementing significant changes to its public transportation system, including new express bus lines aimed at improving mobility for residents.
Starting January 1, 2023, Presidente Prudente has been undergoing a series of changes in its public transportation system designed to enhance the mobility of its residents. According to the city administration, the second phase of these changes will commence on March 15, with the final phase set for March 29. Key features of this new transportation model include the activation of express lines running to various points throughout the city, operated by SOU Prudente.
One of the major alterations includes updated routes for two express buses, X01 and X02, which will now include the Terminal do Hospital Regional (HR) in their itineraries. This addition aims to improve access for residents living in the eastern part of the city, facilitating easier transportation to the regional hospital, a critical healthcare facility. This change is part of a broader initiative by the city to ensure that public transportation is more efficient and user-friendly.
As these new routes become active, the local government emphasizes that the adjustments are for the benefit of users, aiming to provide quicker travel options across town. The new system is expected to enhance the overall experience of commuters, and it reflects the local government's commitment to improving urban mobility in Presidente Prudente after feedback from the community regarding the need for better transport solutions.
