The incident occurred around 9:30 PM on Rua Serra de Santa Bárbara and left the hole open throughout the following day, causing concern among local residents. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the accident.

This incident is part of a larger issue in the city, where reports of road erosion and the formation of craters have been increasing over time. The local government noted that the pavement collapse occurred in an area recently worked on by Sabesp, the municipal sanitation company. Following the incident, teams were sent to the scene to cordon off the area and managed to recover the truck overnight on Saturday, September 21.
