In the Tatra Mountains, near the Polish-Slovak border, rescuers have located the body of a man believed to be a missing tourist. The search, conducted by the Polish Mountain Rescue Service (TOPR), began several days ago when the man's phone was last logged in the area of Kasprowy Wierch. The tragic discovery was made around noon on Saturday in the vicinity of Sucha Przełęcz; a Polish helicopter was involved in recovering the body from the difficult terrain.

The man's disappearance had been a cause for concern, with searches commencing on February 14 after his last phone signal was registered. Rescuers utilized drones and avalanche dogs to scour challenging areas, including routes around Świnica and Pośrednie Goryczkowe. The involvement of Slovak rescuers from the HZS was also sought as they searched the nearby Dolina Cicha valley in Slovakia, showcasing the collaboration between the two nations in emergency situations.
