A 37-year-old man, Francisco das Chagas da Silva Dias, was killed on Friday, October 20, during a shootout with military police in Ibiapina, a municipality located in the interior of Ceará, Brazil. The police had received information regarding their activities as part of a criminal faction originating from Rio de Janeiro, who were allegedly preparing to confront rivals from a São Paulo-based group present in the area.
