More sculptures for the landscape of Pinamar
The Playas Art Hotel in Pinamar is showcasing large pieces by renowned modern artists as part of an artistic initiative aimed at integrating art into everyday life in the city.
In Pinamar, the Playas Art Hotel, established in the 1940s, is currently highlighting significant sculptures of modern artists such as Lucio Fontana and unique works by Fioravanti and Magariños. Additionally, the hotel features sculptures by contemporary artists from the generation of Marta Minujín, Pájaro Gómez, Hernán Dompé, and Claudia Aranovich. These pieces are a part of the valuable collection at the Links Pinamar Sculpture Park, situated in a golf course that invites visitors to experience art amidst nature.
The ambitious Pinamar Contemporary project, formally launched in December, aims to transform the city's experience by integrating art, landscape, and daily life into a cohesive ecosystem. The project gained momentum with the establishment of the Pinamar Contemporary Award #2254 in 2025, a national call for artists in collaboration with the arteba Foundation, curated by Solana Molina Viamonte. The initiative is designed to promote artistic engagement within the community and is currently open for its second call for submissions.
Andrés Duprat, the artistic director, emphasizes the project's goal to redefine how the city is perceived and interacted with, proposing an innovative approach that merges creativity with the local environment. Through such cultural endeavors, Pinamar is not only enhancing its aesthetic landscape but is also fostering a deeper appreciation for the arts among residents and visitors alike.
