The incident occurred after an argument erupted regarding the adequate amount of salt being provided in cattle troughs, with the victim, who served as the foreman, confronting the suspect about his negligence in this task. Following the altercation, the suspect reportedly shot the victim five times with a .22 caliber shotgun and a .36 caliber revolver.
The crime took place in a remote area on a farm located approximately 184 km from the city center. After committing the murder, the suspect attempted to dispose of the weapons by throwing them into a nearby river. When law enforcement arrived on the scene around 8:30 AM, they were able to quickly identify the suspect who had confessed to the crime. This incident raises concerns about workplace violence and the extreme reactions that can arise from seemingly minor disputes.
