The assailant opened the door, attempted to drag the woman out, and assaulted her before escaping with her vehicle.
Fortunately, the victim only sustained minor injuries and was reported to be in good health after the incident. She promptly reported the assault to the police at the Angra dos Reis station the following morning on October 20. The local police have been investigating the crime and have confirmed that the stolen vehicle was later recovered in the nearby town of Paraty, although the suspect had not been identified or apprehended at the time of this report.
