A Madrid judge has dismissed a sexual abuse complaint against Adolfo Suárez, the former Prime Minister of Spain, on the grounds that the alleged events, which reportedly occurred between 1983 and 1984, were beyond the statute of limitations, and that Suárez himself passed away in 2014. The complaint was brought forward by a woman who described eight encounters with the late statesman, with four of these encounters being characterized as violent sexual episodes. The judicial decision was made just two months after the complaint became public, following an investigation led by specialists in family and women's issues within the Spanish police force.
