The confrontation took place around midnight in the Hem Singh Ki Paret area, where the accused demanded ₹2000 from a resident named Gautam. When Gautam declined to provide the money, the situation escalated dramatically, leading to one of the assailants, Sumit Chouhan, pulling out a firearm and firing shots into the air, causing chaos in the neighborhood.
Following the initial confrontation, the assailants did not stop at just intimidation; they also vandalized a neighbor's car. This rampage was further exacerbated by the arrival of another accomplice, Akshay Nagela, and a minor who joined in the vandalism. The group managed to flee the scene post-incident, leaving the residents in shock from the sudden outbreak of violence over what had started as a demand for money to fund a party.
The police acted swiftly on receiving the complaint and were able to apprehend the accused within 24 hours, including the minor. This incident raises concerns about public safety and the influence of alcohol-related violence in the region, highlighting the need for stricter measures against such unlawful behavior to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
