Vienna airport took even more drastic measures, temporarily halting all operations due to the heavy snow accumulation, which measured about 20 centimeters. Reports indicated that at least 150 flights were canceled, and operations may not resume until midday, with ongoing delays expected throughout the day as crews work to address the weather's impact.

The situation highlights the ongoing challenges of winter weather for air travel in Europe, particularly at these two major hubs. Passengers are advised to check their flight status frequently and prepare for continued disruptions as cleanup and restoration efforts at the airports are underway.
