Flu more than ever: Season started earlier, hospitals are getting fuller

During the 2025/2026 flu season in Croatia, a total of 33,945 cases were reported as of January 4, 2026, with 4,174 new cases registered in the first week of the year, attributed to the reduced number of working days rather than a real decrease in flu spread.
