BJP describes 'Congress's TOPLESS protest', see pictures of Youth Congress's demonstration at AI Summit

Youth Congress activists staged a semi-nude protest during the India AI Summit 2026, leading to their detention by Delhi police.

During the ongoing India AI Summit 2026 in Delhi, Youth Congress members conducted a semi-nude protest to draw attention to their demands. Eight to ten activists managed to enter the event site at Bharat Mandapam by using QR codes, where they removed their clothing near the stage, causing a significant disruption. The activists waved T-shirts inscribed with 'PM COMPROMISED' while chanting slogans to amplify their message against the government.

The protest quickly escalated, prompting the Delhi police to intervene. Officers on-site detained the Youth Congress workers and transported them to Tilak Marg police station. According to police reports, several influential figures within the Youth Congress, including Krishna Hari, the national secretary, and state leaders from Bihar and Telangana, were among those arrested. The police indicated that legal action would be pursued against the detained individuals, highlighting the serious nature of their disruption during a high-profile event.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra commented on the protest, framing it as a desperate act by Congress, suggesting it reveals the party's declining credibility and relevance in the current political landscape. This incident not only draws attention to the Youth Congress's grievances but also amplifies the ongoing political rivalry between the Congress and BJP in India, especially against the backdrop of a significant national event like the AI summit.
