No agreement in the private social services sector labor dispute – mediation continues on Monday

Mediation in the private social services labor dispute did not result in an agreement, with discussions set to continue next Monday.

Mediation efforts in the labor dispute involving the private social services sector in Finland failed to yield an agreement today, prompting the mediator to schedule further discussions for Monday at 10 AM, as reported by the national mediator via social media. The dispute has been marked by a three-day strike at specific units of Attendo, Esperi Care, and Mehiläinen in Northern Finland, impacting child protection services. Last week, the national mediator introduced a settlement proposal, which was rejected by both the Public and Welfare Sector Union (JHL) and the employer representatives from the Welfare Industry Association (Hali). Although all parties except JHL reportedly were inclined to accept the proposal, the lack of consensus remains a significant hurdle in resolving the labor conflict.
