Desperate hunt launched for woman, 64, who vanished close to pub in town
Police in Cambridgeshire are urgently searching for a missing 64-year-old woman, Carol Hillier, whose last known sighting was near a pub in Sutton.
The Cambridgeshire Police have initiated a frantic search for Carol Hillier, a 64-year-old woman from Sandy, Bedfordshire, who has been missing for four days. She was last seen on Sunday morning around 11:20 am near The Old Anchor pub located off Bury Lane in Sutton, close to Ely. Following her disappearance, her silver Mercedes E Class was discovered parked opposite the pub, raising concerns regarding her safety. Authorities have stated that they are particularly focusing their search efforts around areas with water and greenery, given the location where her vehicle was found, while expressing hope that she is still alive.
Police have issued a detailed description of Carol to assist the public in identifying her. She is described as a white female, standing approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, of medium build, with chin-length mousy grey hair and grey/blue eyes. The last known outfit she wore included a dark plum-colored Rohan coat, a pale blue beanie hat, and dark hiking trousers, while carrying a small backpack. The appeal for information has been urgent as authorities are working against the clock to locate her before conditions might worsen.
