AI Keiji Mutoh Becomes One-Day Head of Yamanashi Prefectural Police, Discussing 'Cybersecurity Activities' with Real and AI Versions
Keiji Mutoh, a former pro wrestler, participated in a Yamanashi Prefectural Police event to raise awareness about cybercrime, alongside an AI version of himself.
On the 20th, the Yamanashi Prefectural Police held an awareness-raising event at their headquarters in Kofu City, inviting former pro wrestler Keiji Mutoh to help promote consciousness regarding cybercrime. At the event, Mutoh served as a one-day head of the cybercrime section, where he presented alongside an AI version of himself, known as 'AI Keiji Mutoh'. The initiative aimed to encourage businesses and individuals to enhance their awareness and strategies against cyber threats.
Mutoh, who hails from Fujiyoshida City in Yamanashi, made a name for himself in the wrestling world since joining New Japan Pro Wrestling in 1984, famous for his finishing moves like the 'Shining Wizard', and retired in 2023. During the event, he made a grand entrance amidst cheers from attendees who chanted 'Mu-To-U'. The AI version actively participated via a monitor, discussing preventive measures against cybercrime with the attendees, emphasizing the significance of 'cybersecurity activities' ('sabakatsu') in workplaces and the need for leaders in these initiatives called 'sababoss'.
After the event, Mutoh spoke to the press about the reality of cybercrime, sharing his personal experience where his family nearly fell victim to such crimes. He urged the public to recognize the omnipresent threats and the importance of proactive measures against cybercriminals, highlighting that such crimes can strike from anywhere at any time.
