While Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized the event as chaotic PR for the government, fellow party member Shashi Tharoor expressed support, noting that the first two days of the summit had been very good despite some expected setbacks given the magnitude of the event.

In addressing questions regarding a recent comment by President Macron on the Rafale deal, Tharoor acknowledged that parts of the Rafale aircraft are being manufactured in India, which he believes strengthens national defense and promotes self-reliance within the country. This reflects the broader theme of how international collaborations can bolster domestic industries while addressing pressing global topics like artificial intelligence.
