In a significant civil action, more than 300 students from Woodbridge High School in Virginia have been suspended following their participation in an anti-ICE walkout that occurred on Friday. The walkout was organized to express students' views on immigration policies enforced by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. As the situation escalated, the Prince William County Police Department was summoned to oversee traffic and maintain order in the vicinity of the school, highlighting the walkout's impact beyond the student body and onto local infrastructure.

School principal Heather Abney acknowledged the students' right to express their opinions; however, she stated that the walkout's nature crossed the line by leaving campus grounds. In a communication to parents, she emphasized the importance of student safety and a need for adherence to school conduct rules during operational hours. Following the suspensions, a new Instagram account named @pwcs_iceout was created with intentions to organize a larger county-wide protest against ICE and its related activities. This emerging effort reflects a growing mobilization among students in Prince William County, signaling a vibrant youth engagement with national issues, perhaps paving the way for a larger movement focused on civil rights and social justice within the education system and the broader community.
