Mostar's Zrinjski played a remarkable match, managing to secure a 1-1 draw against the favored English team Crystal Palace in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League playoffs. The match took place at the Pod Bijelim brijegom stadium, where Zrinjski, coached by Igor Štimac, bravely faced off against the Premier League side, achieving a respectable result ahead of the return leg.

Crystal Palace took the lead in the 44th minute with a goal from Ismaïla Sarr just before halftime. However, Zrinjski did not back down and equalized in the 55th minute with a goal from Croatian winger Karlo Abramović following a quick team movement. Despite having several opportunities to complete a turnaround in the second half, Zrinjski could not capitalize on their chances. Nevertheless, the draw against the English representative gives Zrinjski a solid chance heading into the second leg in London.

The match attracted a significant number of fans from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, while the visiting team was supported by about 900 of their most dedicated supporters.
