Influencer singer convicted of the rape of a vulnerable person in RR is arrested in AM
Singer and influencer Cleytton Rasec, convicted of sexual crimes, was arrested in Amazonas after being a fugitive.
Francisco Gleiton Martins de Oliveira, known as Cleytton Rasec, was arrested in Itacoatiara, Amazonas, after being on the run following a conviction for rape of a vulnerable person in Roraima. He was sentenced to nearly 33 years in prison and was considered one of Brazil's most wanted criminals. His arrest came shortly after a warrant was issued on October 8 due to his serious criminal charges, which include the dissemination of child sexual material.
Cleytton was found hiding in the São José do Amatari community, a rural area in Amazonas, further emphasizing the challenges law enforcement faces in tracking down fugitives in remote areas. His name had been included in the Justice Ministry's 'red list,' which identifies individuals wanted for serious crimes, making his capture a priority for authorities across Brazil.
As investigations are ongoing, G1 is attempting to contact Cleytton's legal representation for comments. This case highlights ongoing issues related to sexual violence and the protection of vulnerable populations in Brazil, bringing attention to both victim rights and the effectiveness of law enforcement in managing high-profile criminal cases.
