In southern Estonia, a remarkable achievement has taken place as the largest snowman in the region, standing over eight meters tall, has been built at Variku farm in Vastseliina. This impressive snowman was constructed using a tractor to shape the snow piled at the edge of the field, along with some playful ingenuity from the farm owner, Ivar Haabsaar. The snowman’s base was crafted using snow that was compacted and watered, demonstrating a creative approach to snow sculpture fabrication.

This isn't the first time such a snowman has been made at Variku farm, but this year’s sculpture surpasses all previous attempts in terms of size and height. Ivar Haabsaar mentioned that he has put in extra effort during his evenings after work, contributing hours over the weekdays to create this whimsical winter figure.
