A major car unveiling is approaching – Here is what we know about it
Hyundai is set to unveil its all-new hatchback electric model, the Ioniq 3, during Milan Design Week at the end of April.
Hyundai will introduce its new hatchback electric model, the Ioniq 3, during Milan Design Week, with an initial preview already hinted through a concept car. The company is not slowing down its electrification efforts; Hyundai Motor Europe's CEO, Xavier Martinet, announced at the company's annual press conference that five new electrified models will be introduced in the European market over the next 18 months, which includes fully hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric vehicles.
Last year, Hyundai managed to increase its market share in Europe and is on track to meet emission targets without the support of other manufacturers. Martinet expressed satisfaction with the past year, given the conditions, and anticipates a stable sales year for Hyundai. However, the company is forecasted to see significant growth by 2027, indicating increasing confidence in its strategy and the market landscape.
The Ioniq 3 promises impressive specifications, including an operational range of over 600 kilometers, suggesting that Hyundai aims to compete vigorously in the electric vehicle segment. This unveiling marks a key moment in the company's push toward electrification and sustainability in response to growing consumer demand and regulatory pressures in Europe.
