Hotel Phantom Robbing Rooms, Police is Unaware but Now Knows Who it Is

A man suspected of robbing hotel rooms across Czechia has evaded capture despite police investigations and video evidence being released to the public.

A male suspect, known as the 'hotel phantom,' has been stealing from hotel rooms in Czechia by targeting unlocked doors, quickly taking valuables such as cash and credit cards, and disappearing without a trace. This individual is wanted for nine burglaries and is believed to currently be residing in Slovakia while continuing his criminal activities in Czechia, for which a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

The Prague police provided an update on this case, revealing that security camera footage shows a bald man wearing glasses entering various hotels and checking the doors of rooms. In one instance, he successfully opened a door and was seen leaving with a stolen red handbag. Notably, this suspect has not been a registered guest at any of the establishments he targeted, adding to the mystery and challenge of his capture.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Zdenek Svoboda, a 1959-born Slovak citizen, with a height of 170 to 174 cm. The manhunt for him began last November, yet law enforcement has struggled to apprehend him, indicating ongoing concerns regarding hotel security and tourist safety as the investigation continues.
